Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Restorative Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide advanced chairside assistance and perform expanded functions to support restorative procedures, ensuring efficient patient care and smooth clinical operations. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional dental services in a fast-paced environment, fostering a positive experience for every patient. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in general dentistry. Duties Assist the dentist during restorative procedures, including crowns, bridges, veneers, and other prosthodontic treatments using aseptic technique and infection control protocols Perform expanded functions such as placing temporary restorations, applying sealants, and taking preliminary impressions with precision and confidence Operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners to capture high-quality medical images for diagnosis and treatment planning Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft to ensure accurate documentation of patient information, treatment notes, and medical history Take vital signs and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and managing medical documentation efficiently Maintain a sterile environment by following infection control standards and proper sterilization techniques in accordance with OSHA guidelines Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental assisting procedures, terminology, and anatomy Proficiency in EMR systems -Eaglesoft Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records management Skilled in four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency during procedures Knowledge of dental terminology related to prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry treatments Ability to take accurate medical imaging including 3D scans when necessary for complex cases Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and provide compassionate patient care Ability to place composite resin restorations Join us in delivering outstanding dental care through teamwork, professionalism, and a passion for improving patients' smiles!
