Duties Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and prosthodontics Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following infection prevention management and aseptic techniques Take and develop dental x-rays, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring adherence to dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety protocols Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, maintaining strict clinical confidentiality policies Take vital signs and medical history updates to support comprehensive patient assessments Provide patient care by explaining procedures in both English and Spanish, addressing questions about dental terminology and treatment plans Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow with patient management software, and ensuring smooth clinic operations Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is essential for effective communication with diverse patients Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, or prosthodontics Proficiency with EMR systems such as Open Dental; experience with patient management software is highly desirable Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy to support accurate documentation and clinical procedures Hands-on experience with dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, infection control practices, and dental sterilization protocols Ability to perform chairside assisting including four-handed dentistry techniques and handling dental equipment efficiently Understanding of healthcare infection prevention and control standards to ensure patient safety at all times Strong organizational skills for managing medical records and documentation accurately while maintaining confidentiality Monday - Thursday Join us in delivering outstanding dental care with energy and enthusiasm!
