Duties Greet patients warmly, manage appointments, and handle all front desk operations with professionalism and efficiency Verify patient insurance information, process payments, and maintain accurate medical records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments using aseptic techniques and ensuring all dental equipment is functioning properly Assist dentists during procedures by providing chairside support, including four-handed dentistry techniques and managing dental supplies Take and develop X-ray images, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols Conduct vital signs assessments and document medical history accurately for pediatric dentistry and general dentistry patients Maintain compliance with HIPAA standards by safeguarding patient confidentiality and managing medical documentation securely Support specialized treatments such as prosthodontics, endodontics, or pediatric dentistry by understanding relevant dental terminology and procedures Operate dental imaging devices like 3D scanners and medical imaging tools to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning Manage medical coding for billing purposes, ensuring accurate translation of dental procedures into insurance claims Educate patients on post-treatment care, dental terminology, and the importance of oral health maintenance Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred, especially with pediatric dentistry or general dentistry practices Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic is a plus Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge, and dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting and X-ray taking Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding practices Strong organizational skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently at the front desk and clinical areas Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics Certification or training in dental assisting is advantageous; ongoing professional development in dental terminology or infection control is encouraged Join us to make a positive impact on patients' lives through compassionate care and efficient service.
