Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments, equipment, and supplies according to dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners, adhering strictly to dental x-ray safety protocols and aseptic techniques Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, maintaining medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and utilizing patient management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive measures to promote long-term dental health Support the dental team with administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently Uphold clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical information with integrity and professionalism Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with pediatric dentistry or oral surgery environments Proficiency in dental assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting is essential for providing seamless patient care Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix is required for accurate documentation and efficient practice management Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation is necessary to support clinical procedures effectively Hands-on experience with dental sterilization procedures, infection control standards, and healthcare infection prevention is vital for maintaining a safe environment Demonstrated ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the dental team and provide excellent patient management Join us in making a difference through compassionate care and technical excellence!
