We are committed to providing high-quality, personalized dental care in a welcoming and compassionate environment. We are seeking a dependable Dental Assistant with strong chairside skills and a caring approach to patient care. The ideal candidate is organized, professional and comfortable working as part of a busy dental team. Hialeah, FL | $17-$25 per hour, based on experience and credentials
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., plus two Saturdays per month (Alternating with another weekday.) from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Spanish is required for communication with our patients. English is helpful but is not required. Qualifications Able to communicate comfortably with patients in Spanish Previous dental assisting experience preferred Strong basic chairside assisting skills Knowledge of sterilization and infection-control procedures Professional, dependable and organized Able to work efficiently and cooperatively with the dentist and other team members Available to work the schedule listed above Candidates with at least six months of dental assisting experience are preferred. Applicants with strong formal dental assisting training may also be considered. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials before procedures Assist the dentist during examinations and general dentistry treatments Welcome patients and help them feel comfortable throughout their visits Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients Record treatment information accurately in patient charts Clean and disinfect treatment rooms between patients Sterilize instruments according to infection-control protocols Take dental X-rays when appropriately trained and certified Assist with impressions, laboratory cases and other clinical procedures Provide post-treatment instructions as directed by the dentist Maintain an organized clinical area and monitor dental supplies Coordinate with the dentist, front desk and other team members to maintain efficient patient flow Follow office procedures regarding patient privacy, safety and documentation Preferred Qualifications Florida dental radiography certification Expanded Functions Dental Assistant training or certification Experience using Open Dental Experience with digital dental records and imaging Ability to communicate in English Experience assisting with fillings, crowns and bridges, dentures, extractions, implants or other general dentistry procedures Qualities We Value Compassionate and friendly approach with patients Dependability and punctuality Attention to detail Positive attitude and willingness to help Ability to remain calm and organized during busy schedules Interest in becoming a long-term member of our team If you are a Dental Assistant who takes pride in providing excellent patient care, we encourage you to apply.
