Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care. You will assist in various dental procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and help manage patient records, contributing to the overall efficiency of our practice. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, providing chairside support. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring proper techniques are used for patient safety. Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately in medical records. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked. Operate 3D scanners for imaging as needed during procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe environment for both staff and patients. Saturday shifts Skills Must know Dentrix Proficient in infection control practices to ensure patient safety. Strong understanding of dental terminology related to general dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Experience in dental assisting with a focus on patient care and comfort. Familiarity with operating 3D scanners for dental imaging. Ability to take accurate X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Competence in measuring and recording vital signs effectively.
