Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing necessary instruments and materials efficiently Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging while adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensuring patient safety with proper use of dental x-ray equipment Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with clinical confidentiality policies Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout their visit Maintain dental clinic cleanliness by processing dental instruments using aseptic techniques and supporting infection control standards for dental sterilization procedures Support administrative tasks such as greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments with patient management software, and managing medical documentation efficiently Skills Proficiency with EMR systems like Open dental for accurate record keeping and appointment management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures across general dentistry disciplines including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and implant procedures Experience with dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, dental sterilizers, and other clinical tools Expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control practices to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient workflow during complex procedures Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care and medical documentation standards for accurate record keeping Excellent patient management skills to handle diverse patient needs with professionalism and empathy while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
