Job Description
Job Summary Orthodontic Specialists of Palm Coast is seeking an experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team. We are looking for a dependable, energetic, and patient-focused individual who is confident in their clinical skills and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Bonding and debonding procedures Placing and removing orthodontic wires Changing archwires, ties, ligatures, and power chains Preparing patients for bracket placement and bonding Placing separators Taking orthodontic impressions Digital intraoral scanning Taking intraoral and extraoral photographs Taking orthodontic X-rays Clear aligner appointments and attachments Retainer delivery and patient instructions Orthodontic appliance appointments Recognizing and assisting with common orthodontic emergencies and repairs Proper sterilization and infection-control procedures Setting up and breaking down operatories Maintaining instruments, supplies, and clinical areas Orthodontic charting and accurate clinical documentation Educating patients on oral hygiene, elastics, appliances, retainers, and home care We are looking for someone who is friendly, professional, dependable, organized, and comfortable working with children, teens, and adults. The right person will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
