Job Description

Panama City Family Dentistry is seeking a dedicated, skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our friendly and professional team. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing top-notch dental care, has a positive attitude, good social skills, and is a team player. This position requires proficiency in dental assisting techniques, familiarity with dental software systems, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort. Responsibilities:
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Perform medical imaging, including X-rays and ensure proper documentation of patient records. Maintain accurate medical documentation and manage patient files in compliance with regulations. Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean working environment throughout the office. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow within the office. Utilize dental software systems for patient management and record keeping. Support patients with a friendly demeanor, ensuring their comfort during visits. Stay updated on dental terminology and advancements in dental assisting.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of hands-on experience in an office is preferred, but will train the right candidate. Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and familiarity with dental terminology. Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures. Experience with dental management software is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in dental documentation. Commitment to upholding safety standards and infection control protocols within the dental office. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including children, and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
