Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Surgical Assistant to join our practice, with a strong focus on full-mouth surgical extractions and prosthetic rehabilitation. Our team specializes in full-arch treatment solutions, offering everything from traditional dentures to implant-supported restorations. This role is ideal for an assistant who enjoys surgical dentistry and working in a fast-paced, high-level clinical environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the doctor during surgical dental procedures, including: o Full-mouth extractions o Alveoloplasty o Implant placement and restoration o Full-arch cases (traditional dentures to implant-supported options)
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon by accurately and efficiently passing instruments, materials, and supplies throughout surgical procedures
  • Prepare, maintain, and break down sterile surgical setups
  • Set up and manage surgical trays, implant systems, and equipment
  • Take impressions, intraoral scans, facial scans, X-rays, and clinical records as needed
  • Provide pre- and post-operative patient education
  • Maintain accurate clinical notes and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control, and safety protocols
  • Support efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience
  • Perform in-house lab responsibilities, including: o Pouring and trimming stone models o 3D printing models, guides, and appliances o Assisting with digital design workflows related to surgical and restorative cases
  • Contribute to overall team efficiency by restocking surgical supplies, returning equipment to proper storage, and ensuring operating rooms are fully prepared and ready for subsequent cases Qualifications
  • Surgical dental assisting experience preferred
  • Familiarity with oral surgery, implants, and full-arch procedures
  • X-ray certification (per Florida requirements)
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-level setting
