Follow clinical confidentiality policies while handling sensitive medical documentation and medical coding in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental assisting procedures and dental equipment. Familiarity with EMR systems such as
DENTICON, OPEN DENTAL
experience with medical documentation and records management is highly preferred. Strong understanding of infection control practices including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform dental x-ray imaging accurately while maintaining safety standards for patients and staff. Knowledge of dental terminology across various specialties including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is a plus; ongoing training in healthcare infection prevention is encouraged.
