Job Description
About the Position Modern Orthodontics is seeking a motivated, dependable, and patient-focused Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position requires travel between our Oakleaf and St. Johns offices to provide exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments and clinical procedures. Prepare treatment rooms before and after each patient. Take digital X-rays, intraoral scans, and clinical photographs. Place and remove orthodontic appliances as directed by the orthodontist. Change archwires, ligatures, and other orthodontic components. Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment expectations. Sterilize instruments and maintain OSHA and infection control standards. Maintain accurate patient records and complete clinical charting. Set up and break down operatories throughout the day. Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked. Assist with inventory and ordering clinical supplies as needed. Support the front office when necessary to ensure smooth patient flow. Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming experience for every patient. Work collaboratively with the team to provide outstanding patient care. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between both office locations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. What We're Looking For Friendly, energetic, and professional.
