Staff training Dentrix Full Job Description Overview Our large, modern, state-of-the-art private practice in St. Petersburg is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our awesome team! $18-$28/hour Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with up to 3% match Paid holidays Paid time off (accruing after 1 year) Employee discounts Long-term growth and leadership opportunities Key Responsibilities Assist the doctor efficiently in all procedures Take digital X-rays and assist with imaging (Dexis experience a plus) Perform 3D scans (iTero or similar) for diagnostics and treatment planning Fabricate temporary crowns and bridges Educate patients on recommended dental treatment and procedures to support understanding and case acceptance Confidently discuss treatment plans, including insurance estimates and patient financial responsibility Coordinate and schedule patients for follow-up treatment Maintain sterilization and infection control standards Set up and break down operatories Maintain an organized, efficient clinical environment Ensure thorough and accurate clinical documentation, maintaining high standards in charting and patient records Support overall clinical flow and team efficiency Leadership Opportunity For the right candidate, this role can expand to include: Helping guide and support team members Assisting with training and onboarding Maintaining organization and back-office systems Contributing to a positive, team-driven culture Qualifications Current Florida EFDA or RDA certification (required) Current CPR certification Minimum 1+ years Familiarity with Dentrix (preferred) Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times while managing sensitive health information.
