Job Description
About the Role Our boutique dental practice is seeking an experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant who is polished, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering an elevated patient experience. The ideal candidate is fluent in English, highly skilled in advanced dental assisting techniques, and comfortable working with state-of-the-art technology, including digital radiography and 3D scanning. What You'll Do
- Provide seamless chairside support for restorative, cosmetic, and prosthetic procedures
- Perform expanded functions, including provisional crowns, impressions, study models, clinical photography, and whitening assistance
- Utilize advanced technology such as digital radiography and 3D scanners to support diagnostics and treatment planning
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Dentrix or similar EMR systems
- Update medical histories and record vital signs with discretion and professionalism
- Uphold the highest standards of infection control, sterilization, and patient confidentiality
- Support front office coordination as needed to ensure a smooth, welcoming patient flow
- Deliver efficient four-handed dentistry while anticipating the provider's needs
- Communicate clearly and professionally using precise dental terminology
What You'll Bring Required:
- Proven experience as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
- Dental radiography certification (or equivalent training)
- Proficiency with EMR systems; Dentrix preferred
- Strong understanding of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
- Skilled in digital imaging, 3D scanning, and patient assessment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; English required, Spanish a plus
Preferred:
- Experience in cosmetic and prosthetic dentistry highly preferred
- Demonstrate excellent radiographic skills,
