In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure a safe, sterile environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, and oral surgeries with precision and confidence. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to infection prevention management protocols. Take dental radiographs (X-ray images) while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, ensuring all documentation complies with healthcare standards. Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and managing patient comfort throughout visits. Perform vital signs assessments and assist with medical imaging procedures to support comprehensive patient evaluations. Maintain the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment following infection control guidelines for aseptic technique. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent credential required. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in general dentistry procedures. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental equipment operation including 3D scanners and dental x-ray machines. Familiarity with Dentrix for efficient patient management. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and comfort. Expertise in infection prevention management and sterilization procedures aligned with healthcare infection control standards. Competence in taking X-ray images (dental x-ray) and understanding of oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable.
