Do you thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment where no two days look exactly the same? This is a full-time traveling role working directly alongside our Oral Surgeon across multiple locations including Largo, Riverview, New Port Richey and Tampa . This is not your typical dental assistant position. You will be an essential part of a high-level surgical team, supporting complex procedures including dental implants, All-on-X, and zygomatic implants. If you are highly skilled, deeply organized, and energized by surgical precision, this role was built for you. A typical day in this role includes: Arriving at least 30 minutes before the surgical schedule begins to verify operating rooms are properly prepared, safety equipment is present and functioning, oxygen tanks and backups are confirmed, and all surgical instruments, materials, and implants are physically on hand and set up for the day's procedures Supporting the surgeon through complex oral surgery and implant cases with confidence and precision Spending approximately one to two hours after the final case to sterilize, complete surgical checklists, and prepare for the following day including verifying preoperative and postoperative instructions, consent forms, treatment plans, and all required documentation are complete and congruent Escalating any missing or conflicting information before the procedure date
Core Competencies:
Minimum 2 years of IV sedation experience (Required) Hands-on experience with dental implants, All-on-X, and zygomatic implants (Required) Comfort and confidence working across multiple office locations (Required) DAANCE certification (a huge plus but not required) Strong knowledge of surgical safety protocols and sterile technique Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Calm, professional, and communicative under pressure
Essential Functions:
Set up and break down surgical suites across multiple locations Support IV sedation cases with confidence Complete and verify all surgical checklists and documentation Maintain sterile technique throughout all procedures Communicate proactively with the surgical team regarding scheduling, implant availability, and case readiness Flexibility to travel between assigned locations based on the surgical schedule Occasional Fridays for administrative support as needed Perks of Joining the
