Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our clinicians in providing comprehensive dental services. This vital role involves assisting with clinical procedures, managing patient interactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and arranging dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology while ensuring adherence to dental x-ray safety protocols. Manage patient records accurately using patient management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies. Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients before procedures to ensure safety and proper medical records management. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly to enhance patient understanding and comfort. Maintain dental equipment by performing routine sterilization procedures, instrument processing, and ensuring all tools meet infection control standards. Track inventory of dental supplies Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with knowledge of dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and infection control protocols. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for accurate medical documentation and record keeping. An understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and general dentistry practices. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control expertise along with aseptic technique is essential for maintaining clinical standards. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques alongside dental professionals. Excellent communication skills to interact with patients confidently while demonstrating professionalism and empathy. $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
