Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help create a smooth, efficient clinic environment. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring a sterile environment following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans while maintaining proper safety standards and patient comfort Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems , ensuring accurate medical documentation and coding Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient care Educate patients on post-treatment care, oral hygiene practices, and answer questions with professionalism and clarity Support front desk activities as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow Requirements Proven experience in dental assisting within a general or pediatric dentistry setting Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Open Dental; knowledge of Ez Dent is a plus Strong understanding of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate record keeping Experience with chairside assisting in four-handed dentistry to ensure efficient workflow during procedures Certification or training in pediatric dentistry is preferred; willingness to learn specialized skills such as endodontics or prosthodontics is advantageous Join us to make a difference in patients' lives through compassionate care and technical excellence! Pay:
$24.06 - $28.98 per hour
