Position Overview The Dental Assistant plays an essential role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our providers with precision, preparedness, and professionalism.

✔ Loyal ✔ Committed ✔ Clinically confident ✔ Organized and detail-oriented ✔ A strong communicator ✔ Goal-driven and dedicated to excellence You will assist dentists during procedures, prepare treatment rooms, support sterilization processes, take radiographs, update records, and ensure every patient feels cared for, comfortable, and valued. Key Responsibilities Clinical Excellence & Chairside Support Prepare treatment rooms and layout procedure trays with accuracy and anticipation of the dentist's needs Greet, seat, and comfort patients before, during, and after procedures Take high-quality radiographs following clinical and safety standards Assist the dentist with all procedures, passing instruments and maintaining a clean, organized workflow Review patient medical histories, radiographs, and charts prior to visits Apply topical anesthetic, place dental dams, isolate teeth, and perform other non-invasive expanded duties Provide clear postoperative instructions and follow-up calls Sterilization & Infection Control Maintain the highest standards for OSHA, HIPAA, sterilization, and infection control Clean and disinfect rooms between patients Process, sterilize, and monitor instruments and handpieces Maintain sterilization logs and ensure compliance Expanded Duties Place sealants Fabricate temporary crowns Pack cord Take impressions, pour models, trim models Make bleaching trays and simple lab appliances Administrative & Team Support Assist with scheduling, phone support, or front desk tasks when needed Update patient records and documentation with accuracy Maintain inventory organization and operatory readiness Communicate with patients and team members with professionalism and empathy Ideal Candidate Characteristics We are seeking a Dental Assistant who is: Loyal, dependable, and committed to long-term career growth Highly motivated with a strong work ethic Calm, poised, and professional with patients and providers Excellent at anticipating needs and staying two steps ahead Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities A positive team player with a desire to uplift and support others Dedicated to continuous learning and self-improvement This role is for someone who takes pride in their work and values being part of a professional, high-performing team. Requirements 1-2 years minimum dental assisting experience (2-5 years preferred) Strong clinical knowledge of dental procedures, ADA codes, chairside protocols Experience taking high-quality x-rays CPR certification; competency in emergency protocols Knowledge of infection control, sterilization, and
OSHA/HIPAA
standards Ability to prepare operatories and anticipate procedural needs Expanded Duties certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) Basic lab skills (impressions, models, trays, appliances) Experience with CareStack, Eaglesoft, Mango, or similar systems preferred Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills Ability to work flexible hours between 7am-7pm; 1 Saturday/month required Commitment to protecting patient confidentiality Desire for ongoing continuing education and skill growth Why Join Dental Wellness Centers of GA?
