In this energetic position, you will support dentists during procedures, ensure smooth clinic operations, and create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help us uphold the highest standards of dental health and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and ensure all equipment is functioning properly. Take and develop dental X-rays and operate advanced imaging tools such as 3D scanners to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient privacy. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental materials, managing suction devices, and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly. Uphold strict infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for everyone. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental assisting procedures and terminology. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; experience with medical coding and records management is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology related to dentistry. Ability to perform X-ray imaging accurately and operate advanced diagnostic tools like 3D scanners. Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or front desk assistant are beneficial for patient interactions.
