Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly enhance patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will support the dentist during procedures, manage patient comfort, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for patients. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Detrix; accurately document treatment details and medical histories. Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and reduce anxiety. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation and records. Follow aseptic techniques and infection control standards rigorously to maintain a safe clinical environment for patients and staff. Skills No experience necessary . Will train on the job :) Looking for someone who is willing to learn and is quick to learn. Must have a positive and bright attitude and easy going. Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for efficient documentation and record keeping. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding relevant to dental procedures. Experience with dental imaging technology including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry to improve workflow efficiency. Familiarity with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic setting. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry environments; compassionate and attentive demeanor required. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards to ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times. Join us if you're passionate about delivering exceptional dental care!
