Full Job Description Schedule:
Experienced Orthodontic Assistant We are looking for a motivated and hardworking assistant to join our orthodontic team. We have offices in Honolulu, Aiea, and Mililani. Our practice specializes in providing orthodontic care to patients of all ages. We focus on delivering quality care and expert communication with an emphasis on personal development through continuing education, participation with other team members, and high achievement. Generous pay and bonuses achievable. Dental experience is desired but not a requirement, on-the-job training provided.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Good interpersonal skills to develop an effective relationship with patients, parents, doctors, and team members. Effective verbal skills to communicate with and educate patients and parents about treatment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
(including, but not limited to): Patient Flow Cleaning and preparation of units before each patient Greet and seat patients, never leaving a seated patient unattended. Anticipate and assist the orthodontist's needs at all times. Charting of patient procedures Dismissal of patient and explanation of procedure to parent with review of progress. Clinical Procedures Knowledge of Radiographs (panoramic, cephalometric, and periapical film) Placement and removal of elastic separators Digital intraoral scanning, alginate impressions, stone model pour ups Preparing bracket setups Checking all patient appliances prior to adjustment or wire changes Intraoral and extaoral photographs Changing archwires and elastic ties Bonding attachments for clear aligner treatment Deliver clear aligners, retainers and other removable appliances Adjustment of removable appliances Banding and bonding procedures Debanding/debonding procedures Removal of bonding material Give patient instruction for cooperation and motivation Re-cementing loose bands/rebonding of loose brackets Documentation of all communication and procedures in patient chart Shared Duties Cleaning Ordering and stocking supplies Preparing bracket setups Perform other tasks as assigned by the orthodontist(s)

8 hour shift
Monday-Friday Rotating Saturdays Work Location:
In-person Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
