Job Description

Job Overview CVDA is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic and fast-paced dental group. With 3 locations in the Cedar Valley the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office while providing exceptional patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and treatments. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, and equipped with necessary instruments. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Manage patient records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Ensure infection control protocols are followed, including the use of aseptic techniques. Schedule appointments and assist with front desk duties as needed, including managing patient flow. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders when necessary. Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to younger patients. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, but not required. Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is essential. Familiarity with infection control standards and aseptic techniques. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is desirable but not mandatory. EFDA certificaition is a major plus! $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
