Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all dental equipment is ready for procedures Assist dentists during examinations and treatments by handing tools, suctioning, and managing patient comfort Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions clearly and empathetically Manage electronic health records (EHR) to accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and procedures Take diagnostic radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning Monitor patient vital signs when necessary, especially during sedation or complex procedures involving critical care experience Maintain strict infection control standards through manual handling of sterilization processes and adherence to safety guidelines Skills Critical care experience with the ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations Basic life support (BLS) certification and CPR training to ensure readiness for medical emergencies Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) systems for accurate documentation Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental procedures and patient care Experience with surgical assistance, specialized treatments involving surgical procedures Familiarity with diagnostic radiology techniques used in dental settings for imaging purposes Strong understanding of manual handling techniques to ensure safety for patients and staff during procedures This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to make a difference in patients' lives through compassionate care and technical expertise.
