The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices. Candidate should be able to speak in Spanish too. This is a part time position 3 days a week (Monday's, Wednesday's & Thursday's) and 2 weekends per month. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients. Perform chairside assisting, including preparing instruments and materials for treatments. Take X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize OpenDental EMR system for efficient patient management. Conduct vital signs checks and assist in dental imaging as needed. Implement aseptic techniques to ensure infection control throughout the clinic. Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a friendly atmosphere for younger patients. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to manage appointments and patient flow effectively. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental technology such as 3D scanners. Skills Proficient in using Open Dental system. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation practices. Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques. Familiarity with general dentistry procedures, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Ability to perform dental coding and maintain accurate medical records. Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
