Overview:
Randolph & Associates Family Dentistry is looking for a Dental Assistant to join our dedicated team of dental professionals in Bloomington, IL! We serve all demographics of the population, from preschoolers to the elderly, and we operate a busy office with high levels of traffic. In addition to preventive care appointments and scheduled procedures, we accept emergency calls. The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring, and friendly demeanor, as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere. If this sounds like you, submit your application today! Compensation $23+ an hour based on experience Overview Part-time position The owner and Office Manager are the supervisors of this position Benefits are based on the Employee Handbook Traditional and Roth 401(k) options Referral Bonus Program Free CE courses provided by our affiliated vendors Occasional team lunches and office trips Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a Dental Assistant Knowledge of dentistry, particularly dental procedures, instruments, and hygiene Experience administering dental X-rays Technical skills and proficiency with dental, scheduling, office, and other software Customer service and communication skills to ensure patients feel comfortable during appointments Organizational and multi-tasking skills, general office aptitude Excellent verbal communication skills Experience working with children preferred Basic understanding and knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules Current CPR certification required Specific Duties Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments, and ensure necessary equipment is ready for dentists Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating needs Take and process X-rays of patients Process lab work for the dentist Greet patients as they arrive for appointments Advise patients on recommended oral hygiene Update and maintain dental records Handle general administrative and other duties to maintain the dental clinic
