The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support during orthodontic procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, including aseptic techniques and four-handed dentistry, to ensure a smooth workflow in our orthodontic clinic. Pay is based on experience This is a traveling position Travel is reimbursed Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and maintain the treatment area by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready. Take and record vital signs as needed, adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Perform medical imaging tasks to assist in diagnostics and treatment planning. Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans as directed by the orthodontist. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Stay informed about new technologies and techniques in orthodontics to enhance patient experience. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with a focus on orthodontics being a plus. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Familiarity with general dentistry practices, endodontics, and four-handed dentistry is advantageous. Ability to perform medical imaging accurately. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. A commitment to providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment.
