Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as an Endodontic Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional root canal treatments and endodontic care. In this energetic role, you will support our endodontists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help us maintain the highest standards of patient care and clinical efficiency. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for endodontic procedures. Assist endodontists during root canal treatments by providing chairside support with precision and aseptic technique. Take and develop high-quality dental X-rays, including 3D scans, to assist in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and medical history to ensure patient safety before procedures. Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to uphold clinic safety standards. Educate patients on post-treatment care, dental terminology, and procedural steps to foster understanding and comfort. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and coordinating with the dental receptionist to optimize clinic flow. Uphold professional standards by adhering to HIPAA guidelines, infection control policies, and clinic protocols.

Qualifications Proven experience as a dental assistant in a clinical setting, preferably with endodontic or pediatric dentistry exposure. Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical documentation and records. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic technique. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners accurately. Familiarity with EMR systems and electronic health record management in compliance with HIPAA standards. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively about procedures and post-care instructions. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs monitoring, and basic medical coding is a plus.
