Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the dental operatory, ensuring all instruments are sterilized and ready for use. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist with medical imaging as needed. Support prosthodontic and pediatric dentistry procedures by preparing materials and instruments. Record patient information accurately, including medical history and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments and following up on treatment plans. Maintain patient confidentiality and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience. Collaborate with the dental team to improve clinic operations and patient care. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and equipment. Experience with dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is preferred. Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable. Proficiency in medical imaging practices is an asset. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
