Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. Our office is small family practice where we take pride in treating our patients with the best care possible and looking for someone who is energetic, enthusiastic and team player with strong communication skills, attention to detail and a passion for providing excellent patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients.Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for procedures
- Taking X-rays
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Taking Impressions
- Taking scans
- Perform basic dental laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Maintaining supplies Inventory
- Coronal polishing.
- Schedule patient appointments and answer phone calls if needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of Dental Assisting experience
- Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft)
- Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain strict infection control protocols
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures
Preferred Skills:
- Coronal polishing required
- Experience in dental receptionist duties We offer competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.
