Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Assistant/Receptionist, where you'll be the friendly face and efficient organizer of our dental practice. This vital role combines clinical support with front desk responsibilities, ensuring smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and exceptional customer service. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and schedule appointments using CurveHero. Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments, taking x-rays, and managing patient comfort. Manage patient records with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality policies. Handle medical billing and collections efficiently, including Medicare and insurance claims processing using CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and medical billing software like eClinicalWorks. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness; update care plans and medical records in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Answer phones professionally, schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and provide excellent front desk customer service. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols and clinical confidentiality policies. Perform administrative tasks such as data entry with high-speed 10-key typing skills, managing phone communication with professionalism and courtesy. Experience Prior clinic experience in a dental or medical office setting is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with mainly Curve hero is expected but if you have experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks is accepted too.
