Job Description
The Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) plays a crucial role in supporting dental professionals by performing advanced clinical and technical tasks to enhance patient care. This position involves a combination of patient interaction, clinical procedures, and administrative duties to ensure efficient dental practice operations. Responsibilities Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure their comfort Perform radiographic imaging and manage related documentation Accurately chart dental conditions and procedures Maintain strict infection control and sterilization practices Handle dental instruments and assist during dental procedures Mix dental materials and perform related lab tasks Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records Support dental team members to optimize workflow and patient care Required Qualifications Minimum of 1 year experience in dental assisting Certification as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant Proficiency in radiographic imaging and interpretation Experience using dental software for scheduling and record keeping Knowledge of infection control procedures and sterilization techniques Familiarity with dental terminology and patient communication Strong skills in record management and team collaboration Exceptional attention to detail in clinical and administrative tasks Office hours are Monday-Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Paid Holidays Benefits Full Time Position
- Monday through Thursday 8 am
- 5 pm. One hour lunch 1 pm
