Job Description
Job Overview Lifetime Dental Care is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our patient-focused team in Hays, KS. We are looking for a motivated professional who can help create an efficient, organized, and welcoming environment for both patients and staff. The ideal candidate will have prior dental assisting experience, strong clinical knowledge, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. Schedule Monday -
Thursday:
7:30 AM - 5:30PM Occasional Fridays Expected Hours:
34-40 hours per week What You'll Do Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Prepare patients for treatments and procedures, ensuring comfort and a positive experience Assist the dentist and hygienist chairside during general and restorative procedures Select, set up, and organize instruments, materials, and equipment Sterilize and maintain instruments in compliance with infection control standards Take and process dental radiographs (per state guidelines) Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation Provide patients with oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Perform regulated non-surgical duties (e.g., coronal polishing, if certified) Support lab tasks as needed (impressions, temporaries, etc.) Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked operatory Assist with inventory management and supply ordering Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and OSHA regulations What We're Looking For Dental Assisting experience preferred (minimum 1 year) High school diploma or equivalent (required) Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and sterilization methods Understanding of infection control and safety protocols Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred) Additional certifications (EFDA, coronal polishing, etc.) are a plus Strong computer and documentation skills Excellent communication and patient care skills Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team environment Compensation Competitive pay based on experience Compensation may vary depending on skills, certifications, and proven experience Why Join Lifetime Dental Care?
