Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team! In this role, you will be the essential link between our patients and the dental care team, providing exceptional chairside assistance and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish will enhance patient comfort and understanding, making every visit positive and stress-free. You will support a wide range of dental procedures, from general dentistry to specialized fields like prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Your expertise in dental documentation, infection control, and clinical procedures will help us uphold the highest standards of patient care. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and dental equipment for optimal workflow Take and develop X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring accurate positioning and safety protocols are followed Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix , maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide comprehensive chairside support by monitoring vital signs, applying aseptic techniques, and maintaining a sterile environment Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment plans, and post-procedure care in both English and Spanish to ensure clear understanding Perform administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, updating medical records, processing medical coding, and assisting with billing procedures Support infection control protocols by adhering to strict sterilization procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment Assist with pediatric and general dentistry procedures by creating a welcoming atmosphere for young patients and supporting their specific needs Experience Prior experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting is highly preferred Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix is essential for managing patient information efficiently Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy enhances your ability to assist effectively Hands-on experience with chairside assisting across general dentistry disciplines including prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Familiarity with X-ray procedures, medical imaging techniques, and 3D scanning technology is advantageous Understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques ensures patient safety at all times Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required to serve our diverse patient community effectively Join our team where your skills will be valued! Pay:
$18.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 32 - 38 per week
