Role:
Join Mur-len Family Dentistry as a Dental Assistant in Olathe, KS, where you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to support our dental team and ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for our patients.
Responsibilities:
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to industry standards. Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation of treatments and procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care to promote healthy habits. Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to optimize office efficiency. Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as taking impressions and preparing materials. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a welcoming environment. Assist with billing and insurance claims as needed to support the administrative team.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification preferred but not required. Previous experience as a dental assistant or in a similar healthcare role is a plus. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and sterilization techniques. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and team members. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Basic computer skills for managing patient records and scheduling systems. Current CPR certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain it upon hire.
