Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team! In this vital role, you will support dentists during patient procedures, ensure smooth clinic operations, and deliver exceptional patient care. Duties Assist dentists with clinical procedures including chairside support for general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, and prosthodontics treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to infection prevention management protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays using dental x-ray equipment and while adhering strictly to radiation safety standards. Manage patient records accurately ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality. Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing questions to promote comfort and understanding. Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and maintaining organized medical records. Follow strict infection control procedures including aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures to uphold clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare infection prevention standards. Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental equipment, and clinical procedures related to general dentistry and specialized fields like pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. Experience with dental instrument processing, sterilization techniques, and infection prevention management. Ability to perform dental X-ray imaging accurately while maintaining safety protocols. Excellent patient management skills with a focus on delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with healthcare infection control practices, aseptic technique, and medical documentation standards.
