Job Description
We are a single location, single doctor, privately owned pediatric dental practice seeking a full time dental assistant to join our team. The ideal canidate is very reliable with strong communication skills. Our main job is creating a FUN and comfortable environment for children while providing excellent dental care. Some previous dental assisting experience required and knowledge of Dentrix/Dexis is a plus. Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible Sterilize dental instruments properly Set-up and break down/cleaning of treatment rooms Perform routine dental polishing and sealants chairside assist the dentist with dental procedures Take and process X-rays of patients Educate patients and parents on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Take dental impressions Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Skills Proven experience in dental assisting In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g.
