Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols in accordance with HIPAA regulations Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring accurate medical documentation and coding Conduct vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow efficiency Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and oral health practices to promote ongoing wellness Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure in the applicable region Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry environments, with familiarity in dental assisting procedures Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, anatomy, and dental terminology essential for safe practice Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely while adhering to radiation safety standards Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, and electronic health record (EHR) systems Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist when coordinating patient appointments and answering inquiries This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their career in a fast-paced dental setting.
