In this role, you will support 1 dentist by providing chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. Your energy, attention to detail, and commitment to patient comfort will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their dental experience. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment in accordance with infection prevention management protocols. Assist dentist during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take digital dental x-rays and iTero 3D scans while maintaining strict adherence to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) system Eaglesoft; document medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes accurately. Provide patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout appointments. Perform dental instrument processing, sterilization, and inventory management to ensure all equipment is ready for use. Support the dental receptionist with patient management tasks including scheduling appointments and maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting; familiarity with dental assisting procedures is essential, however for the right candidate we are willing to do some training if you're a new grad. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical confidentiality policies. Proficiency with dental software Eaglesoft for managing patient records and scheduling. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, intraoral cameras (3D scanner- iTero), and other clinical tools effectively. Knowledge of infection control standards including infection prevention management and sterilization procedures. Complete weekly and monthly Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team. Certification in Dental Assisting & Coronal Polishing preferred; additional certifications in radiography required.
