Welcome to Bayou Children's Dental Center, where we have been dedicated to providing top-notch dental care to children, adolescents, and special needs patients for over 40 years. Our expert team, led by Dr. Claudia Cavallino, Dr. Paige Gaudet, and Dr. Nicole Boxberger, works collaboratively to ensure that every young patient achieves and maintains a beautiful, healthy smile that will last a lifetime. Position Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, high-energy Dental Assistant to join our fast-paced office. As a Dental Assistant at Bayou Children's Dental Centers, you will play a crucial role in delivering our mission of providing personal, individualized, quality-focused care to our patients and their families. You will be responsible for the following: Assist the dentists during a variety of treatment procedures. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays). Record patient medical history and dental treatment. Provide postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist. Educate patients on oral hygiene and plaque control programs. Manage patient flow and ensure a smooth and efficient office environment. Perform various office tasks as needed to maintain a clean and organized workspace. You will be required to possess the following: An Expanded Dental Duty Assistant (EDDA) certificate is required. Knowledge of Dentrix is beneficial. Pediatric experience is highly desirable. Must be friendly, enjoy working with children, and have a high energy level.
