Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional dental care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with experience in and familiarity with dental clinic operations. Experience as a dental assistant is a plus but not needed. We will train on-site if needed. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while delivering high-quality patient care. Duties As a Dental Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Assisting the dentist during various procedures. Preparing and sterilizing instruments and treatment areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment. Taking dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations. Recording patient medical histories, updating dental records accurately, forming patient treatment plans and accurately completing procedures using Open Dental software. Educating patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Managing appointment for patients that need to come back for additional treatment. Supporting the dental team in ensuring a positive experience for patients of all ages. Requirements To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following qualifications: A strong work ethic and promptness. Willing to learn and grow in dental skills and knowledge. Someone who is a team player and would be willing to help in all aspects of the office. Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times. A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry standards.
