Must be comfortable having conversations with patients and making them feel comfortable. 1 year of experience or dental assisting certification is preferred is required. Duties:
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use Take necessary xrays on patients Document in dental records and update records Educate patients on dental treatment needed Talk with patients and make them feel comfortable Handle administrative tasks as needed, such as scheduling patients Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team Great computer skills Previous experience assisting in a dental practice is preferred but not required
