Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, and help to ensure patients receive quality care. Knowing Haitian creole is a big plus!
Duties:
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
  • Sterilize dental instruments and tools
  • Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts
  • Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
  • Maintain accurate patient records
Experience:
  • Proficiency in aseptic technique
  • Knowledge of CAD software is a plus
  • Familiarity with medical documentation and HIPAA regulations
  • Experience in assisting with dental procedures
  • Understanding of medical terminology
  • Ability to take vital signs accurately
  • Knowledge of medical imaging techniques
  • Familiarity with medical coding practices
