Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for. Your expertise will help streamline clinic operations, improve patient experiences, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and professionalism. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for each patient appointment Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorations, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to aid diagnosis while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort levels throughout procedures Maintain infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and knowledge of anatomy to prevent cross-contamination Skills Proficiency with dental software including Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic EMR systems for documentation and scheduling Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices Experience with X-ray procedures, 3D scanners, medical imaging, and other dental technology tools Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes in a dental clinic setting Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry environments Familiarity with dental specialties such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry procedures Excellent organizational skills to manage medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference every day!
