As a key member of our practice, you will assist in various dental procedures, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience for all individuals. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures, following proper protocols and maintaining patient comfort. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and equipment for each patient visit. Take dental X-rays, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures, utilizing knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques. Maintain infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and disinfecting treatment areas. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions. Record patient information and treatment plans in electronic health records Collaborate with the dental team to deliver comprehensive care in alignment with individualized treatment plans. Qualifications Proficiency in dental terminology and general dentistry procedures Experience with infection control practices to ensure a safe clinical environment. Familiarity with Eagle Soft or similar software for electronic health record management is preferred. Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently to support the dentist during procedures. Previous experience in dental assisting or relevant certification is advantageous.
