Job Description
Dental Assistant - Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. This role is essential in supporting clinical operations and ensuring a high standard of patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing instruments and materials as needed Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness for patient care Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with safety protocols Maintain accurate patient records, including updating medical histories, while ensuring HIPAA compliance Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Support front desk operations as needed, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and assisting with patient inquiries Adhere to strict infection control and sterilization protocols in accordance with industry standards Utilize dental software systems (e.g., Denticon) for patient charting and record management Assist with prosthodontic and other specialty procedures by preparing materials and supporting the clinical team Qualifications & Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar clinical role preferred Knowledge of dental and medical terminology, basic anatomy, and infection control procedures Familiarity with patient record management and HIPAA compliance requirements Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with patients and team members Ability to multitask and remain detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment Experience with Denticon or similar dental practice management software is a plus Why Join Us Join our team and be part of a supportive, patient-focused environment where you can grow professionally while contributing to exceptional dental care.
