The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring smooth workflow through effective chairside assisting techniques. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use. Take dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information in Eaglesoft. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Manage infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment. Support the front office with dental receptionist duties when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging as required in various dental procedures. Assist in various specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with familiarity in chairside assisting, dental terminology, and aseptic techniques. Knowledge of EMR systems; experience with Eaglesoft is preferred. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Experience with medical documentation, coding, and records management is advantageous. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health and infection control measures. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with patients of all ages. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a busy clinical setting.
