Job Description

Job Summary We are actively seeking a Dental Assistant. Join a team that believes in teamwork and truly cares about the patients.
Responsibilities include:
Educating patients in oral health, providing post-treatment instructions, preparing patients for treatment including taking x-rays, setting up rooms for dental procedures, assisting professional dental staff with treatments, sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and rooms. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are followed rigorously. Assist dentists chairside during procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, while maintaining proper radiation safety protocols. Monitor vital signs and medical history updates to support comprehensive patient assessments. Educate patients on post-treatment care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment plans to enhance their understanding and comfort. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry procedures as well as specialized fields like endodontics and prosthodontics. Ability to operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, intraoral cameras, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools safely and effectively. Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with dentists, hygienists, pediatric specialists, and patients alike.
