We are a general practice, who treats patients of all ages. - Dental experience required
- Maryland x-ray certification required
- Dentrix experience required
- EFDA Certification preferred As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to work with the latest technology and techniques, providing the highest quality care to our patients.
- take diagnostic x-rays and displays the x-rays according to the type of procedure;
- accurately chart and document all notes pertaining to the patient during the exam and treatment set forth;
- review the patient's chart, medical history, treatment plan and consent forms prior to treatment, and identifies any potential concerns for the Doctor to consider;
- review and understand the patient's insurance eligibility;
- exercise significant patience and discretion in order to obtain the proper cooperation from each patient;
- prepare the patient prior to beginning treatment (all necessary cassettes, hand pieces, materials, and instruments should be ready and available for the Doctor).
- adapts to each individual and provides excellent chair side manner;
- maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance and ensures any release of patient information is done according to the Company guidelines;
- additional duties related to the position will be assigned as needed. Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Maryland Radiology X-Ray Certification required .
- Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) Certificate preferred .
- Dentrix experience required.
- Minimum 6 months work experience in a dental practice required.
- Ability to make temporary crowns and pack cords highly preferred.
- Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Ability to build rapport with patients.
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs.
