Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our dental team. This role is vital in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care through advanced dental assisting procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in a dental clinic setting and possess the technical skills necessary to perform expanded functions, including intra-oral scanning, sterilization, and assisting with various restorative procedures. This position offers an engaging environment where attention to detail, organization, and a commitment to patient comfort are highly valued. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, crown, bridge, denture, implant crown placements, and Invisalign treatments. Perform intra-oral scanning for Invisalign, crowns, bridges, dentures, and implant restorations with precision. Conduct dental x-rays following safety protocols and ensure proper image quality for diagnosis. Execute sterilization procedures to maintain a sterile environment in compliance with infection control standards. Prepare and organize dental materials and instruments for daily procedures. Check inventory levels regularly and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations. Create, organize, and log lab cases accurately to facilitate efficient communication with dental laboratories. Support four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow efficiency and patient comfort. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate clearly with team members and patients. Experience Prior experience working in a dental setting is required. Proficiency in dental x-ray techniques, x-ray mounting and safety protocols. Knowledge of sterilization procedures and infection control standards. Familiarity with dental terminology relevant to restorative and cosmetic procedures. Experience with intra-oral scanning technology for various restorative treatments such as Invisalign, crowns, bridges, dentures, and implant crowns is preferred. Ability to organize lab cases and manage inventory efficiently is highly desirable. Pay:
